Shiv K Kumar has hailed M.K. Kaw as an authentic voice in Indo-Anglian poetry, a man of sensitive almost snail-horn, perceptions of urbane culture, intense emotions and uncompromising integrity. His transparent candour and compelling authenticity make Kaw’s poetry both evocative and moving.
M.K. Kaw was born in Srinagar, Kashmir on 10th November, 1941. He joined the Indian Administrative Service in 1964. His earlier collections of English poetry are: An Oasis of Solitude Look, Closely at Om and Kusha Grass. He has also written Kehna Aaasaan Hai (collection of Poems), Ikshvaku Se (long poem), Aasman Nahi Girte (novel) and Snowman (collection of short stories) in Hindi. The Science of Spirituality was an attempt to enunciate a universally acceptable hypothesis on the ultimate mystery.
