Tribal Revolutionary Birsa Munda

By Sunita Pant Bansal

Birsa Munda is among the greatest revolutionaries and icons who dedicated their lives to protecting Bharat Mata from invaders and oppressors. In his short lifespan of just 25 years (1875–1900), Birsa Munda left an indelible mark in two significant ways: first, in 1894–95, when he emerged as a reformer and spiritual guru of tribals, and then, in 1899–1900, when he led an unthinkable revolution that shook the tentacles of the British Empire in the present-day areas of Jharkhand with its sheer might.

Lucidly written by Sunita Pant Bansal, TRIBAL REVOLUTIONARY BIRSA MUNDA is complemented by evocative sketches that illustrate the key moments of his life. Meant for the younger generation, the book aims to encourage them to draw inspiration from some of our real heroes whose stories have long remained untold.

The book is presented by Tuhin A. Sinha, the national spokesperson of the Bharatiya Janata Party, an author, and a staunch supporter of Indian tribal heroes.
